Thailand 2010

Two weeks in Thailand in November / December 2010: 10 rainy days on Phuket Island, then 4 sunny days in Bangkok!

Our hotel in Kata / Phuket: Kata Country House

Milan's eye is swollen after a mosquito bite

Here we go, it's Beachtime!

You think I had enough??? Think twice, because I want more and more...

... and more and more!

Kids are not the only ones who can have fun in the waves...

On our second day, two elephants took us for a ride through the jungle:

Milan was only afraid of the little baby elephant, not of the big elephants...

Welcome to the Jungle... visiting Khao Phra Thaeo Nationalpark and Ton Sai Waterfalls

Wat Chalong, a nice temple on Phuket Island:

It's getting loud, folks: you can buy fireworks "for good luck":

Maria's cooking class:

Nightlife: celebrating King Bhumibol's birthday...

... and our favorite restaurant, up the hill above the roads of Kata:

Fish Spa: it's tickling !!!

Every second shop in the city of Kata is a massage and wellness studio...

Banana pancakes, yummy...  and who will be my next competitor in Thai Boxing ???

A nice "Tourist Elephant" on our way...

Before we said good-bye to Phuket, we went on a trip to some islands with the speedboat:

Phi Phi Island:

Maya Bay:

Monkey Beach (well, the monkeys were in the trees, not on the beach):

Khai Nok Island:

Welcome to Bangkok ! Every tourist's first stop is Wat Phra Kaeo and the Grand Palace:

cool vehicles, but polluted traffic air: Tuk-Tuk rides

Wat Pho, just opposite of the Grand Palace:

Night life in Bangkok: Khao San Road and Patpong

Wat Arun, nice temple near the Chao Phraya river

steep stairs on the way up and down...

Luckily we were blessed by a monk, now everything will be good...

The doves and the big fishes wanted to get the bread we bought in a bucket:

Milan's wet adventure continues in the swimming pool of our hotel:

Visiting the Floating Market of Damnoen Saduak (well, it's more "Floating Tourists" to be honest)

visiting the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi, unfortunately also quite touristy...

Bye-bye, every journey is over when it's over, we have to leave...
